Robert, or Bob as he is known to family and friends, brings a wealth of experience in the oil and natural gas industry and the engineering sector. He began his career serving as a Sonar Technician in the United States Navy, an experience which instilled in him the values of honor, courage, and commitment. These values would define Bob’s approach to work and life itself.
 
Following his Honorable Discharge from the Navy, Bob earned his stripes in the private sector as a Civil Engineer for Earthtech. He was later a Facilities Engineer at EQT Corporation and then Talisman Energy. Prior to joining Vavco in 2018, Bob returned to EQT as a Facilities Manager, where he supervised engineers and drafters responsible for the design of natural gas and condensate facilities in the Marcellus and Utica basins.
 
In 2018, Bob became our Vice President of Operations. The following year, he purchased Vavco from company founder Matt Vavro. As Owner and President, Bob is building on the foundation laid by Matt and charting a course for the company’s future growth and success. He is committed to preserving the fundamental principles that have made Vavco a trusted name in the energy industry while embracing new opportunities for innovation and growth.
